COMPANY INFORMATION:
Our client is a Multi National company with interests in the Far East, Asia and Europe. With a turnover of approximately £15 million per annum, our client is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of pneumatic accessories, supply chain goods and business solutions for a number of business sectors, predominantly power/power stations. Currently they are going through a period of ‘change', implementing new projects and procedures to enable them to be competitive in today's industry. They require a Middleweight Design Engineer to join their successful design and engineering department.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
·Ability to produce mechanical engineering designs, drawings and documentation.
·Qualified at degree level (or equivalent) within a relevant discipline i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Design etc
·Good IT skills, particularly those used for design CAD, calculation packages and those used for compiling
Documentation, Word, Excel, etc.
·Good analytical and problem solving skills.
·Ability to communicate effectively around engineering and design issues
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
·Creative with the ability to innovate.
·Previous experience within an engineering environment (mechanical/ pneumatics/ hydraulics)
·Experience of using/ working with hydraulic and/or pneumatic conveying equipment
·Ability to present technical design and engineering ideas clearly.
ROLE INFORMATION:
·Produce mechanical and process engineering designs & calculations.
·Provide the design and documentation for manufacture.
·Working in both 2D and 3D
·Involved in the design and development of new and existing products.
·Provide technical support to the commissioning team during plant start-ups
If required.
·Working as part of a small to medium sized design engineering team.
